First, can we take a moment to appreciate how adorable this waiting area is? Needless to say, it comes second to none.

Located on Robertson, Facile — which translates to “easy” in French, is tucked behind a tiny courtyard amidst an array of boutique coffee shops and restaurants.

As I made my way into the open, naturally lit space, I was greeted by Francesca, who kindly offered me coffee as I got acquainted. Within minutes, I was brought back to a treatment room where I would meet Breana Wheeler, a Board Certified Nurse Practitioner who specializes in dermatology.

She asked me a series of questions to gauge my skincare regimen, and was able to assess my skin type almost immediately. Through our discussion, we addressed my main skincare concerns (sun damage, crows feet, etc.), and decided to map a custom skincare plan, complete with product recommendations. We also determined that the Clear + Brilliant laser would be a gentle option to target sun damage and uneven skin tone on my youthful complexion. For a full menu of their services, visit here. As for daily upkeep, I took home the below skincare plan.

Note: Breana did not push Facile’s products. She also made a point to mention budget-friendly alternatives to some of her recommendations. I considered her approach to be very refreshing, as we have all encountered doctors that “overprescribe,” or push products onto patients.

She did, however, offer me Facile samples, and I will definitely return for the full size versions over my next visit. Stay tuned!

When discussing my skincare concerns, I learned that I am not getting enough sun protection throughout the day. While both my moisturizer and foundation contain SPF, it loses its effectiveness as the day progresses. Breana explained that in order to truly protect your skin, it requires continued SPF application.

I don’t know about you, but I certainly do not want to re-do my makeup every few hours! Breana solved that problem by introducing me to a wonderful product, Supergoop! It’s a translucent powder perfect for all skin types. It contains SPF 45, and can be worn on top of makeup. She also recommended Facial Radiance Pads by First Aid Beauty to be applied before moisturizing. The pads are also great post workout to prevent future breakouts.

All in all, I LOVED my experience and can’t wait to return for more treatments in the coming months. If you’re local, or have upcoming plans to visit Los Angeles, I highly recommend Facile. Xx
